One week old. Mom is wearing a body suit to prevent the pups from nursing on her. She has persistent eclampsia (hypocalcemia)..Pretty rare in dogs, it basically means they can’t mobilize calcium from the gut into milk production. Very serious health condition, we had her in the ER twice. Calcium injections every 3 hours could not keep up. The solution we have had to embrace is to hand feed the puppies.
