Welcome to Kuluta Rhodesian Ridgebacks

Although relatively new to the breed and the world of dog shows, over the past 6 years we have quickly become enthusiasts and now own 8 Ridgebacks. Most of our time is spent at dog shows or participating in activities that involve our dogs, but our Ridgebacks are, first and foremost, pets and our beloved companions.
Loosely translated from the African language Kikongo, “kuluta” means “to surpass”. It is our hope that our dogs reflect the meaning of “kuluta” in their temperament, conformation and performance.
We are members of the Rhodesian Ridgeback Club of the United States (RRCUS), the New England Rhodesian Ridgeback Club (NERRC), Gazehounds of New England (GONE), and St. Hubert Kennel Club.
